The Jacob's Wool Collection

This is a unique Ecology fabric collection.
In these days of sustainability and environmental issues, Dugdale’s of Huddersfield have produced a range of unique cloths where the wool is sourced locally, the scouring, weaving and finishing is all done without any artificial dyes. In fact, everything from the sheep to the finished cloth is all within 10 miles of Huddersfield England.
It is woven from a blend of fleece from Jacob’s and black Welsh mountain sheep. There are no dyes or chemicals used so the shades may vary from one to batch to another.
The fabric is naturally hard wearing and insulating.
I called this collection Jacob’s Wool as I feel sorry for this breed of sheep. Jacob is probably the ugliest looking sheep and would not win any beauty competition. It does, however, make some beautiful wool.
